Oh man, I could just see it – I felt like I was standing at the stage because I have been there with both my kids (and myself as a kid). Your heart just bleeds for them. Even though you knew he had not “brought the thunder” – you just hope for them not to be left out. After your descriptions of Hudson I am sure he will turn this around and make it something positive. However, that moment feels like the worst one of your life when you are a kid. Things never came easy to me as a kid and I gave up. I have two that things do not come easy for. One has decided that sucks and he works SO hard to succeed. The other one – not so much.
By the way Dan – the Kindle will soon be able to accommodate ebooks from the library. Check out the article:

I know this was from a few shows back but maybe this will help you if you do decide to pull the trigger and get an ereader. I LOVE MINE. TONS of free books – and soon even more. You can even get a Kindle hovering around $115 if you don’t mind getting advertising on there. This option was not available when I bought mine. (I am so cheap I am sure I would have done it!)My daughter shares mine now but we will get her one for her birthday.
What is it about paediatricians? Here in the UK you see one just after you are born and that’s it! We seem to cope OK. No other way to say this – by and large Americans are compete hypochondriacs!
On the manager + agent issue, here is how I see it – at the moment you are paying 15% of almost nothing on the TV show front so, if that is where the money is, I would go for it. Work them HARD though for that 15% and it should pay for itself.
Oh, and are your wife and my wife related? A degree in micro-management…
Wow, great show and I am only about half way!
Poor Hudson. It’s probably a valuable life lesson though. Hope he is OK now.
