#42: Too Much or Nothing

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

I didn’ think I had much to talk about and yet, we cover iPodderX, the Mac Gathering, writing Podcast Solutions, apologizing to Evo by offering him a Starship Captain, Scott Fletcher’s Haiku review of the show, living with no kitchen laundry or shower…

I got a great bunch of songs from Irishman Sean Needham, and we take a listen to Not Your Doctor

Yes, I know, it’s been too long since the last show. I agree.

I have not retired! New show coming soon!

If you want to know how to do something right, ask the guys who write the books…Luckily for me, Michael Geoghegan is an mp3 encoding pro, and gave me the serious info on getting really clean encodes using LAME for iTunes. Long story short, the lame version of #41 has been replace by the LAME version, so to speak.

If you want to know Mr. Michael’s secrets, get “Podcast Solutions,” in book stores this summer! (PLUG PLUG)

Here it is again…

#41: “So, You Don’t Even Live Around Here?”

Friday, May 13th, 2005

Welcome New York Times readers! Yes, I am underemployed and therefore had time to record a new podcast! Now who’s the lucky one?

I play a secret outtake from the Podcast Solutions interview with Brian from Coverville. Don’t miss this one. We hear from Jason, C.C. Chapman and the ladies from The Deep End of the Carpool. Thanks everyone!

Last Saturday, I had new headshot photos taken, and someone almost killed Mongo!

Yes, it’s true. The Bitterest Pill got a great mention today is what I consider the ultimate newspaper, The New York Times! Being a New Yorker at heart, this is an honor, to say the least.

Welcome all. If you’re new, check out a couple shows (the news posts here have pushed the podcast links down the page) by clicking here:

“CSI: Private School”
“CSI: Naked Body”
“40 Always STINKS!”

Thanks for joining us and welcome to podcasting. Enjoy the ride…

ps: Why is it that there is so much journalistic fascination with my one tiny mention of Elmo? NPR mentioned it too. Is it so surprising that someone might find Elmo annoying? Or, does the NY Times get all their ideas from the radio…

Podcast Solutions Interview: Brian Ibbott of Coverville

Monday, May 9th, 2005

Michael Geoghegan, Brian and I talk about Coverville, music and using music legally in podcasts. A must for all podcasters, new and old.

Listen to two adults discuss serious topics, while an immature little man interupts with silly jokes.
