#138: Getting in Sync

Book Cover Book Cover

I’m trying desperately to tame the voices in my head, or at least recognize them for what they are: a constant, annoying distraction.

To find out more about Eckhart Tolle, I highly recommend listening to Oprah’s interviews with him from her XM radio show, which are available on iTunes as free downloads (collect all three, in audio or video form). Get them here.

Karate Feet

Giggling Hudson is back, with the tale of his awesome sister’s tough day earning her yellow belt in karate and making it through a dance recital with grace, all while battling some sort of fever/flu/stomach thing. She is, again, a trooper and an inspiration.

We also discuss velcro karate belts, Obi Wan’s master and much more, all in the sweltering heat of the now air conditioningless Studio G.

Write Hudson with your Star Wars questions, comments and concerns at Hudson (at) ARFF.tv.

Another bit part: The Pretender

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

Yes, there was a time when I used to actually get parts in TV shows and movies (I almost said “I used to act in TV shows and movies, but I thought that was stretching it a bit). Thanks to the folks at Hulu, here’s an episode of The Pretender I am in from way back in…well, frankly, I don’t remember. All I really remember is that I hung out with Daniel Dae Kim, long before he was one of the stars of Lost. Hell of a nice guy.

I’m in it around 19:35 and 31:42, give or take. Enjoy.

If you don’t remember The Pretender, it’s about a guy who goes around pretending to be other people to avoid being captured by that grouchy chick from JAG. Something like that…

#136: Frogboy and Crazy Chicken

Order Here

I feel the need to talk about Crazy Chicken. Again. Twice. Is it possible for one man to fully redeem El Polo Loco? You never know…

I also discuss the dangers of Facebook, and recount my vague memories of The Adventures of FrogBoy and Cueball…

Thanks to Jeff, Zack and Caleb & his wife for hanging out Saturday night for the recording.

Yes, I am obsessed with Italian Spiderman!

#135: Can You Answer Your Phone Please?

answer your phone

I had to go to New York City. I had to bring a large video camera and tripod with me, as well as a pressed shirt and pants. We had to fly in on Monday, video tape something at the crack of dawn Tuesday, and fly back to Los Angeles. It was a perfect plan. Until I got involved…

As an additional note: what someone receives a phone call placed at 7am in New York City, it is 4am in Los Angeles. Four. Sorry baby.
