#210: Lucy, The Duke, Manny, Moe and Jack

Last week we had new gates built. To replace the new gates we had built about this time last year. Apparently, you should never hire people who make their living digging holes and planting sod to build you walls and wooden gates. That should be left to (and I know this will sound strange) masons and carpenters…
Our niece was in town again. Instead of watching The Wackness again (it sucks), we took her to Hollywood, so we could find Lucille Ball’s star on the Walk of Fame, and John Wayne’s footprints at Grauman’s (Mann’s?) Chinese Theater. And we did. And we found that Hollywood and Highland is death to my car. And that The Duke might have had very small feet…

That car is weird - German cars generally don’t break - wonder if it is the hot climate causing the overheating?
I heard the Duke had size 11 shoes. I am 6 feet 4 and I have English 12’s, or US 13’s. No way did he have size 6 feet.
I vaguely remember the scene outside the Chinese Theatre - on our only trip to LA (stopover for a few days en-route to New Zealand) a few years ago we were dropped there on one of these Stars Houses tours. I recall the whole of that area being really seedy and crazy. Not as crazy mind you as the complete whack-jobs and fruit loops we saw at Venice Beach. You are living in one CRAZY place my friend!!

Make sure your radiator fan is turning on when the car gets hot.
Mechanic friend says he has seen car engines blown by fans not turning on.
