I have two guests in the studio this time: LA Weekly writer Caroline Ryder and my daughter Tallu. One is a fantastic co-host, and the other is in constant need of cheese and crackers.
This is a long (almost an hour) and strange show that gets into some adult areas.
Caroline and I talk on and on about Los Angeles, Tres Jefes, race, being 29 years old, 37 year old women with 15 year old husbands, being a slut, my 20 years of (relative) monogamy, London, The Butties…
Music by The Butties from their new album “12 Classic Carols.” This is a GREAT album. BUY ONE NOW!
Thank you, Caroline Ryder. I had a great time…
I’m desparately in love with Caroline. Adorable, smart, British accent, and loves Jimi Hendrix. Couldn’t have imagined a more attractive woman.
That was a really good podcast. It was something different from the usual format however it turned out really well.
Ooo, the sexual tension! Dan, you ole player you!
Mmm… HP sauce. We get it imported every few months aswell as other British crisps. This podcast is slowly turning into a memory lane show for me. 😛
Tallu is adorable. Hudson and Tallu Show!
The female tension is so thick you could cut it with one of those little plastic knives you get from the Little Tyke kitchens.
ANSWER TO THE DILEMMA: You give a child who wants string cheese as much as she wants whereever she wants to eat it… especially if you need that child to be watching W&G while you’re doing an interview. Tallu did really well for someone so young who was awake. My kids would have been constantly in the mic… even more than Tallu.
The footsteps up and down the hall are like PodCasting gold… you can’t write content like that… unless you’re Dr. Floyd, of course.
Now, I’ve got one more cd of holiday music to buy. The Butties are great.
The great thing is I can visualise it all happening having seen the BP studio! I’m such a lucky camper.
The funniest thing was the footsteps going back and forth! I wish I could read what Caroline is going to write about that experience!
i think i want to BE caroline…
you’re such a good dad, Dan! are you always that calm & patient? when i was little, my dad would have blown up at me after the second or third interrruption… LOL xx
Okay, I’ve seen the name Bitterest Pill right in the vicinity of my podcast, The Word Nerds, on some of the directory lists for about six months now. Why didn’t I subscribe earlier? I don’t know..but thanks. This is some cool stuff. I am especially grateful for your featuring The Butties. Tell ’em you just sold a couple CDs! This is perfect Christmas music! (And all hail the glories of String Cheese! It is a magical food, as I recall from when my own kids were that age.)
