#64: Wood Bends, Scratches & Breaks

Wow, lots to talk about today (and some left over for another show…):

I blab on and on about ID3 Magazine (I am a member of the editorial review staff and a contributing writer), getting our trees trimmed by Old Skool instead of the Timber Swat Team, and The Odyssey of the Table and Six Chairs.

Hudson picks the winner of the PED2. Holy cow.

All that and “House of the Future” by The Animatronics .

  1. How did you not refuse the tables? i would have just refused to accept the tables and chairs, even at a reduced price! why didnt you just walk out after all of the problems (the terrible delivery service, repetitive errors in the chairs, etc.)…i would have gone to a competitor just to make the store feel bad…just my thoughts

  2. #1) Why are you shopping at K-Mart for furniture??? I would never imagine shopping at K-Mart for anything, much less furniture!! The K-Mart in my town would have everything in poor quality, and I just feel gross shopping there.

#2) Maybe your neighbor is frustrated because you didn’t have SWAT Team come do it his way.

  3. TRL –

I didn’t say we were shopping for furniture at KMart. I haven’t been into a KMart in 5 years. I was comparing buying low end and high end furniture.

And, that is EXACTLY why I thought my neighbor was frustrated, because I didn’t take his recommendation and go with the guys he could give direction to. Was I not clear or are you not paying attention?

  4. Hey Dan,

Started listening to the pill lately, Gotta say that the first episode i listened too, i was kind of skeptical, but the show has grown on me.

Thought you might like some interesting info. You mentioned Kodak sold they’re copier division to Danka. True… until Danka sold it to Heidelberg…who in turn sold it back to Kodak a year or so ago. Sorry to spoil your idea but you’ll have to find a new location for your Table factory.

    🙂

    Keep up the good work.
