#125: The UStream Debacle

Dan cap

I talk about getting Studio VW fixed, the round and around with the dryer that won’t shut up, and can’t seem to broadcast on UStream, even though even an idiot can do it. (This image here has NO resemblance to the actual UStream video).

Did Easter used to have something to do with Jesus or something? When did the candy come into it?

  1. Let me get this straight Dan. You live in a part of the USA that has around 300 days of sunshine and generally good temperature in a year. And you need a dryer. Why? If you can’t bring yourself to hang out your pants and wifes underwear in your back yard to dry, can’t you set up a hanging apparatus in a spare room? We hang inside in the winter and outside in the summer and we wash every damned day with out 3 and 5 year olds messy habits. And we live in what many would say is a cold climate, certainly wet. In my experience, 4 or 5 sessions in a dryer and my clothes would fit a doll better than me – those fibres come from the clothes!

Maybe you should try this option? I think “the man” has you thinking a dryer is the only option.

Come to think of it, why don’t people in California use solar too?!

Finally, don’t give those bastards at the electrical stores an inch of room when they start the “you’ll have to go to the manufacturer” shit. They try this here too. Just tell them the basics of sales contracts. They buy from the manufacturer/wholesaler and you buy from the retailer and therefore your only recourse is to the retailer and he needs to take it up with the manufacturer.

Great show. Looking forward to more ARFF too 🙂

  2. We DO use dry racks in the house, but mostly for my wife’s stuff. We couldn’t possibly keep up with ALL the laundry that way in a house this size. We use lines outside too, but only for certain things. We could/should ramp it up, but all this airport air is terrible and literally turns things black. Since I’m entering a new phase of miser/eco mode, I think the lines may be a must.

You would be sicken to see how FEW solar panels are visible in California, but it is getting better. Someday I would love to at least run the “studio” off of solar energy.

Okay, H and I are about to write a little ARFF. Hopefully we’ll shoot today.
