It’s been raining. A lot. Buckets and buckets, to the point where the house is warping out of recognition and it is messing with my head. And the alarm system. (Don’t worry robbers, it’s fixed)
Hudson has to (gets to) dress as John Hancock and John Paul Jones (the American revolutionary, not the bass player for Led Zepplin) for an upcoming school event, Walk Through the American Revolution. I can’t wait. It was my big New Wave Drama Geek chance to dress him up like Adam Ant from Stand and Deliver. Nice. Some great finds at the local Goodwill Store. The key to good will? Give first…
The kids markered all over the dining table with a Sharpie. Yet, somehow, I managed to be the one to ruin the finish…
Hudson and I recommend Fantasyland Costume Company.

Lovely post here, really enjoyed what you are doing! Looking forward to reading your other posts on your excellent site!
Nice show Dan. I also can’t stand the rain. But I’ll take it in exhange for some warmer wheather. Cheers.
Great outfit…
Let’s get this straight Dan. You live in a place that gets about 300 days of sunshine a year, often 90 degrees or so. And you think a few days rain is going to warp your doors? Rain – you don’t know what it is my friend – ha, welcome to our world!!
As well as sadistic teachers in the UK in the 70’s forcing girls to do games in their knickers (though I sadly missed that), we also had the great tradition, when playing football (the real one), basketball etc for shirts and skins as opposed to different coloured shirts. They always made the fat kids, including me, do skins.
And why don’t you suggest that your ball-breaking wife (sorry, can’t think of anything nicer) go do the shopping herself?!!
