  1. Very nice. However – you are so not an Alex. Glad to see you were able to stick to a jeans and zippered pull-over uniform. Sorry you did not get to wear black – but at least it was not whote or cream!

Was in Kohl and heard Dragonette’s “Pick Up the Phone”. They must have that in the canned musical rotation at Kohls. Think of you every time I hear it. Now if we could just get you a Kohl’s commercial . . .

  2. Nice one Dan – well done – it’s simple, play to your ‘assets’. Doesn’t do Patrick Stewart any harm!

  3. I have been watching for your commercial, and now that I’ve seen it I have to say it’s one of the funnier ones I’ve seen 🙂 They really let your personality shine through!

Oh, and it reminded me to renew my ancestry.com membership. The only interesting occupation I found was my great great grandfather the undertaker. Ironically, even though he was an undertaker his daughter (my great grandmother) still ended up having a rushed burial in a communal grave after she died of the Spanish influenza outbreak of 1918 when she was only 28 years old. It was a very sad situation: my grandmother and her little sister were preschoolers at the time and their father was such a waste of skin that they were then put in an orphanage. My Gram never talked about her childhood, but using ancestry.com I was able to piece so much of her early life together.

    Yay for effective commercials 😉

  4. Hey Dan, so glad that this is available on the web. We’ve been watching the show “Who do you think you are?” which is sponsored by ancestry.com but have not (yet) seen your spot. I will forever think of this company as incestry.com…

  5. While driving by low walls, houses or alley ways roll down your window and listen to the vehicle. You shouldn’t hear anything besides the engine and tires carvision.com. Listen for clicking, ticking or grinding noises noises? They will be more apparent when echoed off of stationary objects you’re driving by.

  6. We finally saw your commercial during an episode of “Who do you think you are?” but it was an abbreviated version of it 🙁 Having seen the entire one I have to say the abbreviated ones are too short, you don’t get to really understand the story before it’s over. In my opinion anyway…

  7. Hi Dan,
Haven’t heard the podcast in a while so I didn’t know you had made the ad. When I saw it I went… Hey I think that’s Dan Klass! So I did a websearch to find this sight to confirm it. Ha Ha Ha! Good job Dan!
