A couple weeks ago I sent an e-mail to a voice over actress who had offered to give me some advice on things. At least, I thought I sent an e-mail a couple weeks ago. I know I wrote an e-mail, and attached things to it, and checked and double checked all the links included in the e-mail. Yes, I’m sure I did all that. Now, I just can’t find any evidence that I did all that…
This week, Hudson was in the school production of Willy Wonka. What a fabulous production! Wow. I sat in the front row, both performances and tried to hold the video camera study while I choked back tears of pride. Thanks to all the parents and teachers and Dr. Theatre and Tim, who lent me his viewfinder-thingy.
I sent Tina to one website to not be able to listen to the other, and I sent Jenica to another sight so an agent could not watch my videos. What the hell is going on? All I want is to be a successful Hollywood actor. Is that too much to ask? I didn’t think so…
Thanks to Tina and Jenica for being in my corner this week. I really appreciate it…
It happens most of the time!
Wow – good for Hudson. Going to be 8th grade next year – BMOC. My daughter with be in 9th grade and my son just graduated and is starting technical college. I tell you Dan if you think time is speeding by wait until he gets into high school – WARP SPEED MR. SULU.
(His pic made me think of when you talked about drawing lines in your face for a play in high school!)
Way to go Hudson!
I heard another perspective recently from a US comedian, about bringing up kids. Essentially his greatest fear was that his child would be more successful than him. The way my finances are, I see it more as a pension for me!
If I have learned anything in the past 25 years of work (gulp) it is this. WORK THOSE CONTACTS HARD. Dan, you know tons of people who work in the business and some of them know people who are really famous. There’s got to be opportunities there. Here’s an idea – ask your friend to ask Craig Ferguson if he’ll do an interview for the podcast or one of the video shorts. I just wish I knew who he was!
You guys don’t know Craig Ferguson out there? He’s one of YOURS. Well, was. He’s American now (legally) but from Scotland.
Dan, pretty much none of the 250 odd million Americans are from the USA! 🙂
