After a rather tame Thanksgiving, I vow to make the show more “kid friendly,” before admitting that I am a little girl who cries during movie trailers. I complain about the Costco feeding frenzies, and hypocritically proclaim my distaste for incestuous podcasts.
Enjoyed the show.
For some reason movies have in the recent years managed to make me cry too. I suppose with the some wisdom of life gathered so far (I’m 34 and have kids), the drama becomes more powerful. I quite enjoy it.
Those recursive podcasts are just a fad. … but I liked the ending of your show 🙂
About music in podcasts: During the show music tends to interrupt the show, but how about playing all the tracks last and ending without a comment?

good show today. regular listener. i’m a dad, too, and i began my one month of shut-in-ness today. i’m taking a month of family leave to hang out with my new daughter. gotta get a headset and do a podcast, i guess … thanks for saying what needed to be said about podcaster a and podcaster b. i know what you mean! i’ve gotta go to sam’s club (costco competitor) tomorrow, so i’ll have to try to steer clear of the snack areas.

Great show. I posted comments on my site via: (http://sholden.typepad.com/weblog/2004/12/podcast_review_.html).
Does Blogger do trackbacks?
Steve
Hey gents. Thanks for the comments. I think music at the end of the show is a must, Oliver. I agree wholeheartedly. (Hope you enjoy Maxi Geil) Mr. Shark Attack, congrats on the young one. And, no, Blogger doesn’t do “trackbacks.” To tell you the truth, I don’t even know what that means…
Keep listening…dK
Trackbacks are an auto-link/comment thing. If I post an entry in my blog referencing a post on yours, and your blog accepts ‘trackbacks’, an excerpt from my post will appear as a comment on yours. Same thing can be achieved by checking your referer log regularly.
And loving the podcast by the way. Man, why is it that when we were expecting our son, everyone was like “oh man your life is over, what a hassle, etc”. No one told me how much damn fun it is! He’s one year old next Thursday, and is more fun than ever. Makes me laugh several times each day, which I haven’t done for years.
