A unique “Pill” where I just blab and gush from the floor of the Portable Media and Podcast Expo (recorded Friday, Nov. 11).
My special guests include (I think this is in order) Lance Anderson (Verge of the Fringe), Cush (Things I Say), Tim Coyne (The Hollywood Podcast), (The Radio Adventures of) Dr. Floyd and Dr. Grant, Michael Geoghegan (Reel Reviews Radio), Adam Christianson (MacCast), Eric Rice (Audioblog.com), Eric Schwartzman (On the Record Online), Paul Figgiani (The.Point), Seth Anderson (Hear Me Now, Brother) and Edgar (Nerdblurp.com), Keith Malley and Chemda (Keith & The Girl)
The episode sponsored in part by Marantz, and recorded on their CDR420. Thanks, Marantz!
Haha Dan. I’m only 19 and I remember Apple OS 8! I even have a bumper sticker that says: “I break for 8!”
The neat features introduced in 8 were HFS+, multiple threads in the Finder, and all the confusing wording with FAT and PPC and 68k versions of applications. So PowerPC processors were supported in OS 8 then as well.
The biggest visual improvement was the addition of “Platinum,” which you already touched on in your “more-live” podcast.
I was more excited for OS 8 than I was for OS 9, but OS 10 was the coolest of them all, being a Unix fan.
During the podcast someone was talking about a freaky green faced hornetThat green faces speed racer freaked out alot of kids.
