  1. Dan,
I made a decision last night that I was going to go through my list of ‘favorite podcasters’ and stop by their sites, leaving a message about how much I dig their podcasts. So, here I am, leaving this message, to say, I dig your podcast. I know that it takes time and energy, so I want to thank you for producing, recording, creating, uploading, and releasing each and every episode.
    You rock!

  2. peppermint patty is not in a good man charlie brown.
you must mean sally… (played MOST excellently by Kristin Chetaweth on broadway a few years ago)
hummmm, can i even trust this is a true story dan? there are 6 parts and you could not remember that? good grief charlie brown 😉

btw… I was lucy in a camp production in ’76, and all the actors where girls.
snoopy was the best singer. snoopy is the only one who really needs to have a good voice in that play…

  3. Kim, baby, I didn’t say “Peppermint,” and if I did, I didn’t mean to. The character of “Patty” is in the show, although I frankly don’t remember her doing anything. The girl who was in our version moved away shortly after (related?). Rumor was that her folks later bought the house sort of across the street from ours, but I never saw her.

I honestly don’t remember Sally being in the show at all. I wonder if we did a greatly edited version, since we were only 14 yrs. old or so. I looked the show up on Wikipedia, and I don’t remember half the stuff they talk about…

The story is NOT 100% true, since I don’t think Snoopy would have been driving by herself as a 9th grader. I think that must have been later, in high school, during a production of something else. I was over it by then. I think I do remember her driving me to rehearsal on a day that I’d tried chewing tobacco for the first time and was sick as hell from it.

  4. I recently went to see my friend’s daughter in a production of “Charlie Brown” at Santa Monica High School. She played Snoopy and she was great.

But I’d rather comment on your other comments.

    A) I’m depressed that I haven’t gotten a comment from NCN like the one he sent you. I hope he still listens to my show.

    B) I tried chwing tobacco around the same time but I had the benefit of modern technology – THE SKOAL BANDIT. Made especially for kids!!! Me and my buddy slipped a bandit between our cheek and gum. Pure bliss! Next up? Matilda Bay wine coolers!

    Yahoo!!

  5. Listened to this on the way home from christmas with the rest of my clan and it was very relaxing after the craziness of my family. hope you are doing well and yada yada yada….you know how this goes.
