All I really want to do is sit and watch a movie without it seeming like I’m into racist porn. I need to get out of the tiny circle I travel in, so Melissa and I decide to go see a movie a couple towns away. I think.
If you want to see a good movie, see Slumdog Millionaire (in theaters) or The Visitor (on DVD). Don’t read about them, don’t watch the trailers, just go.
I have sworn off trailers: If you know the ending before you even see the begining, you are only watching to see how they get there. If you don’t know the ending until the ending, you may actually enjoy the ride.

Im not a BIG DVD or movie watcher, I spend hours upon hours in front of my PC and don’t seem to ever really get bored. I like your perspective about watching movies and will apply it and probably for the new year, I will actually sit down and allow a movie to hold my attention.
Was it…Flip me, Nerd? Fix me, Nice guy? Forget me, Narc? Flee me, Nebbish? I just can’t figure it out! Oh well, maybe it’ll come to me.
P.S. Thanks for putting in my little comedy bit last time. Peace out.
P.P.S.: If you want to get back at Todd Solondz, try tracking down and watching a copy of his first movie, Fear Anxiety and Depression. Solondz has completely disowned the movie (came out 1989 ish) and he doesn’t even list it in his filmography.
We stumbled upon it accidentally at the old House of Comedy on Stanley and it became something of a favorite. I know you’re a Woody Allen fan from way back, and that movie is the best early Woody Allen ripoff ever made, so it’s worth trying to track it down. It’s like what if Woody Allen was a Gen-Xer, what movie would he make?
Later…
Yes I agree, that is good advice, in fact we have applied the same training principle in design of plumbing training and it worked well, however in future I suppose the advice will be more refined. http://www.plumbingtraininguk.co.uk

I saw “The Visitor”, but I don’t like this film! He is boring…
I was just searching Slumbog Millionaire being I was watching the critic choice awards and seen that film won some awards. What did you think of the movie? I’m really interested in knowing being I have not seen it but seen it has got rave reviews. Is it worth picking up and watching? I’m wondering being I don’t want to put it on my waiting list of DVDs if it’s not worth the money to rent. Thanks so much for letting me know!
